Big Boi Deep: Cultural Fusion in Ink
For Big Boi Deep, the challenge was to merge cultural significance with modern tattoo aesthetics. He wanted a Maori armband tattoo with the addition of Punjabi text, symbolizing a blend of his cultural roots and artistic expression. The Maori design’s intricate patterns symbolize strength and heritage, while the Punjabi text added a personal touch that made the tattoo uniquely his.
Working on this design allowed me to play with the interplay of different cultural symbols, creating a piece that was visually striking and deeply meaningful to Big Boi Deep.
